Six members of the Owen Sound City Band were recipients of 2008 Ontario Volunteer Service Awards. The Awards presentation was held on June 11, 2008 at O.S.C.V.I. The following band members were recognized:
- Robert Bell, 40+ years of service
- Gary Bergstra, 25 years of service
- John Dickson, 30+ years of service
- Shirley Dickson, 30+ years of service
- Don Prowd, 30 years of service
- Dave Skelton, 30+ years of service.
