2007 Ontario Volunteer Awards

Seven members of the Owen Sound City Band were recipients of 2007 Ontario Volunteer Service Awards. The Awards presentation was held on June 7, 2007 at O.S.C.V.I. The following band members were recognized:
  • Cliff Iles, 60 years of service
  • Clarence "Bill" Furness, 50+ years of service
  • Okke Bos, 40 years of service
  • Elwin Hall, 30 years of service
  • Ken Douglas, 20 years of service
  • George Langford, 20 years of service
  • Scott Montgomery, Youth Volunteer.
Cliff, Bill, Okke, Ken and Scott brought family to the ceremony.

Owen Sound City Band

The Owen Sound City Band plays a wide range of concert band music, from Bach to Burt Bacharach, Dixieland to Disco, Neal Hefti to The Beatles, and much more. Rehearsals are Monday evenings from 7:30 to 9:30 from Sept to June at OSCVI. Everyone is welcome!
